Singularity is an interactive visual novel that plunges you into the high-stakes world of cutting-edge science and moral dilemmas. Step into the role of a dedicated researcher who has engineered a miniature black hole, an achievement that promises limitless possibility but hides immeasurable danger.

As you race against time to contain the black hole’s rapid growth, every decision you make, whether at the lab or at home, carries profound consequences. Forge alliances with determined colleagues, wrestle with corporate expectations, and weigh the risk of disclosing your secret to the world. Your actions will determine whether humanity emerges unscathed or succumbs to cosmic disaster.

With multiple branching paths and distinct endings, Singularity weaves together emotional storytelling, scientific ambition, and the question of what, and who, you’re willing to sacrifice for the greater good. Will you put your personal life on the line to rescue humanity, or walk away from the chaos to spend your final days with the ones you love?

In Singularity, every moment matters. Can you stabilize a force of nature before it’s too late? Or will ambition consume everything you hold dear? The fate of the world hangs on your choices, are you ready to face the ultimate test?

This is by far the best-looking game in this whole Jam! Although the sprite-transitions seem a bit buggy for some reason (for example the expression-changes on the faces), this is great! And I can always appreciate a good visual-novel ~ Especially as someone who has made one before

This already easily passes for a professionally-made full game. You could start selling it, I'm sure many people would love it for a couple of bucks of a few! ^_^

Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 I'm really happy you enjoyed the game!

About the sprite transitions, yeah, that’s likely due to Ren’Py’s web player. Since it loads assets dynamically while displaying them, it can cause some visual bugs at first, but once everything is loaded, it should run normally 😅
